Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as a "rare gem" and a "precious gift" to Nigeria, acknowledging his unwavering commitment to the country's unity and development.
In a heartfelt message celebrating Obasanjo’s 88th birthday, Atiku praised the former president for his dedication to fostering inclusiveness and promoting a united Nigeria. He noted that even Obasanjo’s critics would agree on his deep-rooted patriotism and contributions to national cohesion.

Atiku, who served as Vice President from 1999 to 2007 during Obasanjo’s administration, expressed gratitude for their time working together in pursuit of national unity. He extended his best wishes to Obasanjo on behalf of his family and team, praying for more years of good health and continued service to the nation.
