In a determined effort to revamp the healthcare system in Ondo State, the Chairman of the State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole, on Wednesday, paid unscheduled visits to several health facilities across Akure, the state capital.
The surprise visits were aimed at assessing the condition of healthcare infrastructure, evaluating service delivery, and interacting with both staff and patients.
At the State Information Technology Agency (SITA), Dr. Ategbole met with the Director of Finance and Administration, who assured him that the procurement of essential computer equipment would be fast-tracked to enhance efficiency.
During his stop at the Ondo State Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, the HMB Chairman commended the medical personnel for their dedication and professionalism.
He also delivered a message of reassurance to patients, emphasizing the unwavering commitment of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to strengthening the state’s healthcare system.
Dr. Ategbole also visited the College of Health Technology Clinic, Akure, where he was conducted around the facility by Mrs. Adeoye Bukola. He expressed satisfaction with the seriousness and discipline exhibited by the medical staff at the clinic.
The Chairman’s visits reflect a hands-on approach to leadership and a strong resolve to improve healthcare delivery across the state.
According to him, the state government remains focused on equipping health institutions and ensuring that residents receive quality and accessible medical care.
