The Akoko Youth Forum (AYF), the umbrella body representing youths across the four local governments of Akokoland, has extended heartfelt commendations to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), for his transformative reforms and consistent support to the youth constituency, both within and outside Ondo State.
In a statement signed by the National President of AYF, Engr Ibukun-Oluwa James Akeju, noted that within just two years in office, Dr. Tunji-Ojo has demonstrated exceptional capacity, visionary leadership, and a genuine commitment to public service that continues to inspire the Nigerian youth.
The Forum particularly highlighted the minister’s bold reforms in the Ministry of Interior and its agencies reforms that have brought efficiency, accountability, and innovation.
From the automation of processes in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), to the modernization of the Nigerian Correctional Service, and the unprecedented support for the Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), BTO has proven that good governance is not a theory but an achievable reality.
“Dr. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo has shown us, the youths of Akokoland and Ondo State at large, that leadership is about impact, service, and integrity. His reforms have touched lives, restored public trust in government institutions, and given Nigerian youths across board a sense of pride and belonging,” the statement read.
The Forum further appreciated Dr. Tunji-Ojo for his unwavering love and support to the Akoko youths, affirming that his interventions and open-door policy have given the association and the entire youth constituency a new sense of belonging.
“As Akoko youths, we are deeply proud of his achievements, and we remain committed to supporting his vision for a greater Nigeria. His example is a challenge to us all to rise above limitations, embrace responsibility, and work together for the progress of our region and nation,” the statement concluded.
